The first 24 hours after hail decide who gets the roof

Homeowners call the first roofer who looks trustworthy. This is how your system responds when a storm hits your ZIP codes.

  1. Hour 0

    Storm reports come in

We watch National Weather Service storm reports for hail and wind in the ZIP codes you serve.

  2. Hours 1 to 6

    Your storm page goes live

A page for that storm and those suburbs, with your license number, real roofs you have done and a two-field inspection request.

  3. Hours 6 to 24

Ads point only at the damage

Google, Local Services and Meta campaigns limited to the affected ZIP codes, so the budget is spent where roofs were hit.

  4. Days 1 to 14

    Every lead is followed up

Calls and forms tracked to the campaign, callbacks within minutes, and a follow-up sequence for homeowners still waiting on an adjuster.

Counts toward the 30

  • A live caller in your service ZIP codes asking for a quote or a visit
  • A form with a reachable phone or email and a job you perform
  • A property manager requesting a bid on a building in your area
  • A repeat customer who found you again through a campaign
  • A lead you chose not to take because your calendar was full

Does not count

  • Robocalls, spam forms and wrong numbers
  • Duplicate contacts from the same person inside 30 days
  • Callers outside the service area written into the agreement
  • Requests for work you told us you do not do
  • Job seekers, vendors and sales pitches

Illinois rules your roofing ads and pages follow

License number in every ad

Illinois requires the roofing license number and name in all advertising, on contracts and bids, and on commercial vehicles. Knowingly leaving it off an ad is a Class A misdemeanor, each day a separate offense.

225 ILCS 335/5 and 5.1

No deductible offers

A roofer may not advertise or promise to pay or rebate a homeowner's insurance deductible, and since 15 August 2025 the contract must say so. Our storm ads never use it as a hook.

815 ILCS 513/18(b), 225 ILCS 335/5.5

Not the homeowner's adjuster

A contractor may not represent a homeowner on an insurance claim or file the claim for them. Ad copy offers an inspection and documentation, never “we handle your claim”.

815 ILCS 513/18(i)

Cancellation after a denied claim

On an insurance-funded job the homeowner can cancel within 5 business days of the insurer's written denial, so the contract and landing page explain it plainly.

815 ILCS 513/18(e)

Written contract, 72-hour rescission

Since 15 August 2025, roofing contracts must be written and signed before work starts, with a 72-hour full-refund rescission clause and the surety and insurer named.

225 ILCS 335/5.5

Chicago permits and cool roofs

Low-slope roof work needs a city permit, filed with a City-licensed general contractor plus the state roofing license, and new low-slope coverings must reach 0.72 initial solar reflectance.

Questions Chicago roofers ask

How do roofing companies in Chicago get more leads?

By being ready before storm season and fast after each storm. Chicagoland averages about 20 damaging storm days a year, and 63% of them fall in June, July and August (NOAA, 2016 to 2025). The roofers who win have suburb and flat-roof pages with real job photos, reviews in view, campaigns that switch on within hours of hail in their ZIP codes, and every call tracked.

When is roofing season in Chicago?

Damaging storms cluster from May to August, with July the peak at about five storm days a year across Cook and the collar counties. Hail of one inch or larger falls on about seven days a year, mostly from May to August. Winter brings leaks and ice dams, so repair searches never stop.

Is buying roofing leads better than running our own ads?

Shared lead platforms often sell the same homeowner to several roofers, and the pipeline stops when you stop paying. Your own campaigns, pages and footage keep the leads exclusive and the data yours, and the cost per job falls as the reviews and content build.

Do you guarantee roofing leads?

Yes, for Chicago trades: 30 qualified leads in 90 days, or no management fee. A qualified lead is a live caller or a reachable form in your service ZIP codes asking for work you do. Spam, duplicates, out-of-area calls and job seekers do not count, and the rules are written into the agreement before launch.

What does roofing marketing cost in Chicago?

Campaign management starts at $3,500 a month and search at $3,000 a month. Ad spend is paid directly to Google and Meta in accounts you own, with no markup. Crew and roof film starts at $15,000. You can leave after any monthly review.

Do you need a permit to replace a roof in Chicago?

It depends on the roof. Chicago's Department of Buildings exempts repairs up to 25% of the roof area and residential reroofing up to four stories on roofs pitched at least 2:12. Low-slope roofs and any structural work need a permit, the application lists a City-licensed general contractor and an Illinois-licensed roofer, and new low-slope coverings must meet the city's solar reflectance rule.

Do you film our roofs and crews?

Yes. Our own crew films tear-offs, installs and finished roofs, including drone footage with FAA-certified pilots, so every ad and page shows your work rather than stock photos.

Have you worked with Chicago roofers before?

Not with a roofer we can name yet. Most of our work is real estate and construction, where we film job sites, run lead campaigns and build the pages buyers check. The lead guarantee exists so you do not have to take that on trust.
